Ship and Offshore Structure Design and FEA Assessments

The Viking Systems offices around the world bring advanced and proven structural naval architecture solutions to clients worldwide by offering rapid and reliable solutions to obtain efficient ship structures that exceed classification or national standards. Since our formation in 2000, we have expanded to now operate five offices on three continents with highly skilled teams of structural, mechanical, civil and marine engineers as well as naval architects and software developers. Our offices are proud to work very closely together across continents and cultures in an environment where new ideas, hard work and fun attitudes are valued, tediously seeking to create safer, longer-lasting, and more efficient ships and offshore structures.

Our typical projects include any combination of classification rule calculations, first principles design, advanced ship and FPSO structural naval architecture analysis solutions using hydrodynamic and FEA assessments to obtain ABS DLA & SFA, DNV FMS and BV VeriSTAR class notations, advanced linear and nonlinear FEA solutions, natural frequency, forced vibration, noise analyses, simplistic and spectral fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics crack growth calculations, hydrodynamic calculations, including effects of slamming and whipping loads on ship hulls.

We work on all types of new building, conversion, refurbishment and life extension projects offering best-in-class solutions for design, analysis, reinforcement, and verification of ship and offshore structures. We operate worldwide, delivering naval architecture and marine engineering solutions for the offshore oil & gas industries, military & naval vessel communities, and commercial ship owners and operators.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver reliable and transparent industry-leading solutions through the use of best-in-class technology and software programs, including the use of our continually developing program SAGA, an advanced ship structure assessment software program and project management tool, keeping our team of engineers at the forefront of the industry while reducing CapEx and OpEx costs associated with vessel construction and future maintenance.

Our Vision

We aim to be at the forefront of innovation in the structural naval architecture, offshore and marine engineering services industry, by applying our rapid and reliable methods to obtain efficient structural designs and analyses exceeding classification standards in the maritime and offshore industries. Our Viking Systems organization actively strives to help our clients’ projects succeed by offering sound technical solutions to satisfy the demands of all stakeholders.
